Why American Bettors’ Voice?

Sports betting has exploded across the United States since PASPA was overturned in 2018, and the most noteworthy element of this expansion has been that the consumers of betting products, that is, the bettors, have essentially been left out of the conversation. Through political contributions and lobbying, the sports betting operators have essentially had their way with how the industry has evolved.

This reality brought Gadoon “Spanky” Kryollos, Billy Walters, and Richard Schuetz together with a simple goal: To develop a non-profit organization that would allow bettors to have a voice. That is the whole point behind the American Bettors’ Voice.

It is presently estimated that approximately $45 million will be spent on Amendment 2 by gaming interests. Amendment 2 would authorize sports betting. There are curiosities about Amendment 2. First, […]

YUMA, Ariz. – Buddy Hield … who is this Buddy Hield? Jordan Holt typed furiously on his computer in his Phoenix hotel room, searching for information on Indiana Pacers guard Buddy Hield. Holt, a 43-year-old meter and relay technician, was steaming mad, having just watched an NBA game between the Boston Celtics and the Pacers. […]

Among the main challenges for a pro bettor is finding places that will take your money. If you show signs of being good, or even just highly methodical, most sportsbooks will drastically limit how much you can wager. But there are ways around this. Sharps, as pros are known, often employ surrogates to place bets […]

Cory Fox, the vice president of product and new market compliance for FanDuel, didn’t choose the ideal wording when he said during Wednesday’s public meeting hosted by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, “This is a very limited set of users.” The topic of the meeting was the practice of regulated sportsbooks in Massachusetts (and throughout the U.S.) restricting […]
